We need congress to write new laws in reference to digital securities and where the lines are drawn between a security amd a non security so companies can grow and thrive in the united states. Then exchanges can be properly audited to make sure things are in compliance.
True story – I was recently using Coinbase to buy crypto. I had $2,900 in USD cash sitting in my account for over a week. I tried to buy 1.94 ETH. It said the transaction went through. Then, a couple of minutes later, I got an email from Coinbase saying that the transaction had been canceled. It then said that I should try another form of payment. I looked in my account, and the $2,900 that had been sitting in my account for over a week was gone! Two phone calls, two emails, and two weeks later, I finally got my $2,900 returned! I got screwed on the deal as the price of ETH had gone up about $100 each. Coinbase sucks!
