LYRICS
Nerdy kid at school with astral thoughts.
Wanted to be an astronaut so I could be alone in space.
Get away.
Dreamt of Kepler-22b.
That’s the place for me.
Didn’t get the grades to be a NASA astronaut.
Couldn’t knuckle down or focus on my schoolwork.
I became a ghetto engineer making shit out of glass to refract the light from distant stars.
Then I built a telescope.
So big.
Pointed it at Kepler-22b.
That’s the place for me.
Good for ya
Obsession is good for ya
Good for ya
Obsession is good for ya
Can you guess the first thing I seen on Kepler-22b?
A telescope pointing back at me.
On Kepler-22b.
A telescope pointing back at me.
On Kepler-22b.
A telescope pointing back at me.
Good for ya
Obsession is good for ya
Good for ya
Obsession is good for ya
Good for ya
Obsession is good for ya
Good for ya
Obsession is good for ya

Are you feeling it now Mr Krabs?
repeat-worthy
I just found this song from a 2 year old theneedledrop weekly track round up, which was in the best category. And i know how much theneedledrop has praised king gizzard and the lizard wizard, but i never went out of my way to listen to them.
Then i was like, you know what lets listen to kepler 22b by them (im fascinated by that planet so this was like a perfect song to get introduced to them) and i clicked play and i was immediately speechless when the bassline hit 5 seconds in, so smooth and silky. Then at 23 seconds when the vocals started i was hooked even more and, so chill and smooth and happy. It is now easily one of my favorite chill late night songs ever.
I slept so badly on this song from Omnium Gatherum holy fuck keppler 22B it's the place for me.
